The CIHR-funded Life-Threatening Illness National Group (LifTING) Health Research Training Program was launched to help improve knowledge, experience of care and health outcomes for people with life-threatening illnesses. The program aims to develop the knowledge and skills of tomorrow’s researchers to undertake interprofessional, interdisciplinary and inclusive research in life-threatening illness. The LifTING Health Research Training Program is designed for students, patient partners, early career researchers, health professionals, post-doctoral fellows, research professionals, knowledge translators and community members. The program is offered virtually over two years. Course material is delivered in the form of readings, podcasts, group workshops, etc. Mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities are central to the program.
