Scientific Writing and Generative AI: Increasing Productivity Without Compromising Integrity
Join Maxime Sasseville, associate professor in the Faculty of Nursing at Université Laval and regular researcher at the VITAM Research Center, for a webinar on scientific writing in the age of generative artificial intelligence. This presentation will begin with a review of the principles of rigorous and effective scientific writing (conciseness, active voice, precise vocabulary), before examining the role that AI can play in this process. Drawing on a framework that distinguishes acceptable uses from problematic practices, it will address the safeguards needed to leverage these tools while preserving scientific integrity and author responsibility.
