Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research (SCPOR)
SPOR SUPPORT Unit | Saskatchewan
The Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) is a pan-Canadian initiative established by the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR) whose goal is to engage patients, caregivers, and families as partners in the research process. The Saskatchewan Centre for Patient-Oriented Research represents Saskatchewan as the provincial arm for the SPOR. SCPOR brings together organizations that support and contribute to the development of patient-oriented research across the province. SCPOR provides researchers with support for meaningful patient engagement in research. It guides and encourages patients in the engagement process to become involved in contributing to positive change in the health care system. SCPOR also provides training, development, and funding opportunities to advance patient-centered research in Saskatchewan.
