The George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) is Manitoba’s SPOR SUPPORT Unit. CHI collaborates with SPOR-funded entities across Canada to advance patient-oriented research. Locally, CHI is positioned as a unique linkage between the province’s health system and its academic health sciences institutions. Within Manitoba, CHI supports and promotes patient-oriented research as an integral part of a responsive, learning health system. CHI supports patients and members of the public, health researchers and practitioners, decision-makers and trainees across 5 areas of service:
- Clinical research and methods
- Data analytics and management
- A learning heath system (including evaluation, knowledge synthesis, knowledge translation, and Indigenous Healthcare Quality)
- Patient and public engagement
- Patient reported measures
