SPOR Evidence Alliance (EA)
SPOR Networks | Canada – Global
The Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) Evidence Alliance, supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) under Canada’s Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research Initiative, is a pan-Canadian research initiative to promote evidence-based improvements in health policy and practice. The network includes more than 300 researchers, trainees, patient partners and collaborators. Founded in 2017, the mission of the SPOR Evidence Alliance is to promote the continuous improvement of the Canadian health system through the development and use of scientific evidence. The SPOR Evidence Alliance provides research services through researchers with diverse expertise. It also provides training and skills development for researchers and policy makers who use research results. Finally, it promotes the use of scientific knowledge through the creation of knowledge synthesis works, clinical practice guidelines and other knowledge transfer activities.
