CHILD-BRIGHT
SPOR Networks | Canada – Global
The CHILD-BRIGHT Network is a pan-Canadian patient-oriented knowledge mobilization and implementation science research network aimed at improving outcomes and support for children with brain-based developmental disabilities and their families. Based at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and with 350 members, CHILD-BRIGHT aims to build capacity for patient-oriented research in child health in Canada. Within CHILD-BRIGHT, patients, families, researchers, policy makers and key partners contribute to the knowledge and improvement of the health care system and practices. CHILD-BRIGHT carries out projects, leads programs, and runs initiatives in collaboration with patient-partners who serve as active network members and leaders. CHILD-BRIGHT is one of five chronic disease networks funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) under Canada’s Strategy for Patient–Oriented Research (SPOR) initiative, with a focus on children with brain-based developmental disabilities and their families.
