The Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education (CACHE) is a strategic partnership between the University of Toronto (UofT), the Toronto Academic Health Science Network (TAHSN), with the University Health Network as lead hospital. In collaboration with 12 health sciences programs and a network of 15 Toronto hospitals, CACHE co-leads the UofT’s interprofessional education curriculum. CACHE aims to develop knowledge and practice related to collaboration in health care using evidence-based educational principles. CACHE builds capacity for learners and clinicians in ethical collaboration, teamwork, and interprofessional practice in health and social services. The Centre also offers professional development programs to foster career development in the field. CACHE engages in research and innovation partnerships to develop systems and policies to promote collaboration, including the Patient/ Family/ Caregiver Partners program, IPE Scholar-in-Residence partnership with Centennial College, and more.
