Attachment and Child Health (ATTACH) Program

Attachment and Child Health (ATTACH™) is a parenting program with the goal of supporting families and promoting child development and health at a population level. ATTACH™ differs from other parenting programs by teaching reflective function, a skill that promotes secure attachment with infants. To do this, participating parents are asked to reflect on their own thoughts and feelings about others, especially their children. Practitioners can become ATTACH™ Facilitators by completing training that includes online training and video modules, as well as in-person training sessions. Evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of the ATTACH™ program is based on a knowledge transfer and patient engagement approach.
