WHO WE ARE

About PASSERELLE

PASSERELLE is a bilingual space where learning, collaborating, and sharing knowledge help advance the science and practice of patient-oriented research (POR).

Our mission

Strengthen capacities, support talent, and create a bilingual environment where resources are centralized, communities are connected, and learning is shared, in order to collectively develop research that is more collaborative, inclusive, and innovative.

WHAT GUIDES US

At PASSERELLE, everything starts with a conversation. Our interconnected commitments guide the way we learn, collaborate, and grow alongside others.

Together, these commitments strengthen our ability to collaborate.

Learning to collaborate is a practice, not a checklist: it’s about cultivating genuine relationships, caring for one another with responsibility, recognizing and valuing the diversity of knowledge, and reflecting on our ways of doing things. By intentionally creating these spaces, each partnership becomes a place of learning, and each lesson strengthens our collective ability to work together, differently.

OUR ROOTS

Territorial Acknowledgment

PASSERELLE recognizes that its central office is situated on what is known as Quebec City, on the traditional unceded territory of the Huron-Wendat people, Innu, Malecite, Atikamekw, and Abenaki people. In the spirit of respect and reconciliation, we extend our gratitude to these Nations for their stewardship of this land.

As we work towards a research future that’s more inclusive and puts the patient and the public at its center, let us also make a commitment to educating ourselves about the rich Indigenous heritage that helps shape our collective journey. Let us move forward together by embracing the wisdom of the past to create a better tomorrow.
