SPOR SUPPORT Unit | British Columbia

The Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) is a pan-Canadian initiative established by the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR) whose goal is to engage patients, caregivers, and families as partners in the research process.
BC SUPPORT Unit represents British Columbia as the provincial arm for the SPOR. The BC SUPPORT Unit partners with the provincial government, funding organizations, health authorities, universities, researchers, patients, health care providers and health system decision-makers to improve health care. The provincial coordinating office supports patient-oriented research activities across BC. The office works in partnership with regional supports within Vancouver, Fraser, Interior, Northern and Vancouver Island health authorities.
