Nataly Espinoza Suarez: A Project on Chronic Pain

We congratulate Nataly Espinoza Suarez, our CPCRN Fellow, and her team on their success in the Chronic Pain Network Trainee Knowledge Mobilization Hack-a-thon.

Following the success of the first phase of their project, the team has received additional funding to continue their work through the second phase. We are proud to have contributed to this collaborative initiative as a partner during the first stage.

Building on the work carried out as part of the project, the team developed the manuscript CARING in Action: A Knowledge Mobilization Case Report on Co-Creating an Evidence-Based Communication Training for Chronic Pain Care. The manuscript highlights the co-creation of a training module designed to promote more empathetic and responsive conversations between healthcare providers and people living with chronic pain.

This project demonstrates the value of patient-oriented knowledge mobilization by connecting research, clinical practice, and lived experience to develop educational tools that are relevant, evidence-based, and centred on community needs.
