Lisa Knox publishes her first research article

Congratulations to Lisa Knox, a member of PASSERELLE’s Trainee Advisory Committee (TAC), who has published her first article, Examining the impact of naming equity within perinatal substance use and mental health policy: a scoping review.

In her paper, written with co-authors Sana Z. Shahram, Megan Black, Alex Kent, Bernie Pauly, and Lenora Marcellus, she discusses the meaning of equity, its use in policies concerning perinatal substance use and mental health in British Columbia. The authors argue that equity should be considered when formulating policies to be able to create policies that better address community needs.

This publication marks an important milestone in Lisa’s academic career. She has also recently started a new position as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of British Columbia.
